Interview Feedback

Accessed from a requisition · In beta

Interview Feedback lets your hiring team capture structured scorecards for a candidate, compare everyone's ratings side by side, and record the outcome of a stage (advance, hold, or reject) without leaving GoVerse. It is built to keep feedback fair and independent: people give their own rating before they can see their colleagues' current-stage feedback, and once a scorecard is submitted it is locked.

In beta — enabled by GoVerse

Interview Feedback is being rolled out to Premium and above accounts during the beta, and it is switched on for your account by GoVerse. If you don't see the Feedback tab or the Feedback & Decision panel described below, it hasn't been turned on for your account yet — contact your GoVerse representative to request access.

What it's for

  • Capture structured scorecards against a rubric (a set of criteria), or a simple overall recommendation when no rubric applies.
  • Reduce bias — you see your panel's current-stage feedback only after you've submitted your own, so first impressions stay independent.
  • Compare at a glance — all of a candidate's feedback is laid out as a per-stage grid, one column per interviewer.
  • Record the decision — advance, hold, or reject a candidate; the decision drives the candidate's stage automatically.

Two places you'll use it

Interview Feedback shows up in two places inside a requisition:

  1. On a candidate — open a candidate and use the Feedback & Decision tab to add your own scorecard and (if you're allowed) record a decision.
  2. Across the requisition — the requisition's Feedback tab is a review view where you pick a candidate and see everyone's scorecards grouped by stage.

Feedback is optional

You never have to leave feedback to move a candidate. Capture a scorecard when you want to inform the decision, or simply record a decision to move the candidate along.

Adding your scorecard (Feedback & Decision tab)

Open a candidate from the requisition's Applications tab and choose the Feedback & Decision tab.

  • If the current stage has a rubric, you'll see each criterion with a 1–4 rating and an optional notes box.
  • If the stage has no rubric, you simply leave an overall recommendation (Strong No / No / Yes / Strong Yes) and an optional summary.
  • Use Save draft to keep working, or Submit when you're done.

Submitted feedback is locked

Once you submit, your scorecard can no longer be edited. This keeps the panel's input independent and unbiased. Save a draft if you're not ready to commit.

What you can see, and when

To keep opinions independent, visibility follows a few simple rules:

  • Your own feedback (draft or submitted) is always visible to you.
  • Previous stages' submitted feedback is always visible.
  • Current-stage feedback from your colleagues appears only after you submit your own current-stage scorecard.
  • Account owners and admins can see everything.
  • People who aren't on the requisition's hiring team don't see feedback at all.

Reviewing feedback across the requisition (Feedback tab)

The requisition's Feedback tab is the comparison view.

  • Pick a candidate from the list on the left. By default the list shows only candidates who have feedback; tick Show candidates without feedback to see everyone.
  • Use the search box and the stage filter to narrow the list.
  • The main panel groups feedback by stage, and within each stage shows a grid: criteria down the side, one interviewer per column, with each person's rating in the cell. Interviewer summaries appear beneath the grid.

This is the same layout you'll see on a candidate's own Feedback & Decision tab, so previous-stage feedback is always clearly labelled by stage.

Rubrics (interview scorecards)

A rubric is a reusable set of criteria interviewers score against — for example Problem solving, Communication, Role & team fit. Rubrics are optional and are attached per pipeline stage.

To create a rubric: go to Settings → Interview Rubrics, add a rubric, and list its criteria (each with an optional description of what "good" looks like).

To use a rubric on a stage: edit a Pipeline Template (Settings → Pipeline Templates), and choose a rubric on the stage(s) where you want a scorecard. New requisitions created from that template inherit the rubric on those stages.

Rubrics apply to new requisitions

A rubric is attached on the pipeline template and inherited when a requisition is created from it. Requisitions that already existed before you assigned a rubric won't pick it up automatically — create the requisition from a template that has the rubric set. A stage with no rubric simply shows an overall recommendation and notes.

Recording a decision

At the bottom of the Feedback & Decision tab, users who are allowed to move the candidate see a Decision section:

  • Advance — move the candidate to the next stage (or pick a target stage).
  • Hold — keep the candidate where they are.
  • Reject — reject the candidate.

The decision drives the candidate's stage and status automatically, and is recorded for the requisition's history.

Who can decide

Only an account owner/admin or the requisition's hiring manager can record a decision. If you're a feedback provider (for example an interviewer), you give ratings only and the Decision section is hidden.

Reading the feedback indicator

On the Applications list, a small feedback icon appears on candidates who have scorecards. It shows how many are submitted (and any drafts). Select it to open the candidate straight on the Feedback & Decision tab.

Tips

  • Submit to unlock the panel. If you can see that colleagues have submitted current-stage scorecards but can't read them yet, submit your own first — this is the bias control, not a bug.
  • Rubrics are optional. No rubric on a stage just means recommendation + notes; you can still capture and compare feedback.
  • Set rubrics on the template. Assign rubrics on the pipeline template so new requisitions inherit them on the right stages.
  • Decisions move the candidate. Recording Advance/Hold/Reject updates the candidate's stage — you don't need to move them separately.
  • Requisitions — where you find candidates and their stages.
  • Settings — create rubrics under Interview Rubrics and assign them under Pipeline Templates.
  • Plans & feature access — Interview Feedback's beta rollout (Premium+ during beta, enabled by GoVerse).
